About Us
Honesty underpins everything that we do. Integrity in business, transparency in the relationships that we build and openness during the film making process.
Everyone that we work with is different. We believe that it is important to show consideration and sensitivity in each new environment that we work in and to treat each individual with courtesy and respect.
We aim to build strong and genuine relationships. The better the quality of the relationships that we build the better the final outcome of the project.
We believe each individual has a voice worth listening to. We are committed to protecting the essence and authenticity of each voice.
Meet the team

Peter Thompson
I founded Shedlight Productions in 2007. There are two stories behind it’s inception. One is that having worked for many years in social care – I had an overwhelming ambition to improve the lives of others through making films. (Bit pompous actually). The other is that I had learnt some useful skills whilst working for a national broadcaster – and being out of a job – thought it might be a way of keeping the tea caddy full. In truth it’s probably a bit of both.

Conroy Williams
Conroy has spent most of his working life either running social enterprises or supporting social entrepreneurs. Along with his responsibilities as the Programme Manager with the Hampshire School for Social Entrepreneurs, Conroy offers expert guidance and direction to Shedlight Productions.
Who we work with

Kevin Harper
Kevin has over twenty years experience in producing professional broadcast audio, but maintains a fresh and focused attitude to his work. The majority of his work is in the field of single-camera documentary, factual, and reality television, as Sound Recordist. Having worked for all the major broadcasters, on extremely varied locations around the world, Kevin is easy-going, and unfazed by whatever he may be presented with.

Paul Hodgkinson
Paul has over 30 years’ experience as a writer and creative director in London’s top ad agencies. Years later he returned to London as senior writer at Lowes and creative director at Simons Palmer, heading up the Sony Playstation and Nike accounts. He spent the next decade or so as deputy creative director at M&C Saatchi working on everything from British Airways to NatWest before leaving to write Waitrose TV ads. Recently he decided it was high time he worked for himself. You can view his website here.

Alys is an award-winning animation director whose work has been shown at more
than 30 international film festivals. With an MA in Animation from the Royal
