A sustainable future

The University of Winchester faced a problem - a microcosm of a problem that is facing the much of the UK and the world - how to deal with it's waste. In particular coffee cups.

It's now widely accepted that the disposable coffee cups we use everyday are not easily recyclable, leaving millions of cups in landfill every year. The University of Winchester estimated that they used around 90,000 cups in one calendar year.

This was their innovative - and award winning response.
